August 20th, 2008

My Birthday was awesome, Gator took the day off, Joey took me too lunch at Flour Girls and Dough Boys in AF, it was so good, we had some lovely Creamy tomato soup and samies and brownies. And then I got to sew a bunch of squares for the quilts I am working on, and then Gator took me out for dinner at this swanky place in Thanksgiving point called Harvest I think. The food was lovely but my fish and his bird were over cooked, but, On Man, the appetizers were good, and the bread was heavenly.
So that was Monday, on Thursday took the kids and my Mom to Lagoon, we had so much fun! Lagoon has added a bunch of kiddie rides and we rode them all. We went to Lagoona Beach, Ira was so crazy, he would just launch into the water over and over, so crazy, he just loved it, but I was so worried, I just had to hover over him, he didn't want me to hold his hand or help him in any way, so I just kinda cushioned the falls, he scraped his knee and just kept going. Maggie loved the rides, the scarier the better, we went on the kid coaster together and I watched her as much as I could and her face was so amazed, then we get off and she looks up at me and says "Mom that scared me out of my MIND!!" So cute. Kimble was very serious about most of it, he would judge the rides, scary, fun or awesome. He rode the most since he's the tallest and he was very brave and adorable. We just loved the whole day. Ira was such a good kid, we had him up and going all day and he just took it.
Kimble had his first day of school and he did not really like it, he got lost at recess. The second day he came home and said he did not get lost and it was an alright day, he likes his teacher and she was crazy and fun. Today he got in the car totally hopped up and when he sat down at the counter at home he said he loved school. AMAZING!!! Yippee.
We had our second soccer game today and I asked a Dad, Jeff, to assistant coach, he is so cool. We scored more points but you aren't supposed to keep track, which I didn't but the other team's coach's were sure to keep very close tabs on what was going on, they were driving me nuts! But we have a great team, the kids on our team are so dang cool. I really like this whole soccer thing.
Ira started crossing his fingers and he is watching sign for up to 5 minutes at a time, so now were are trying to go for more time attending. He really loves to throw stuff at people, we don't really love that. We sign no throw, but he thinks it's funny, we are hoping he will stop the throwing asap.

struggling

Well Hey Everybody, I am so dang busy all the time with ASL and Doctors and Helper people at the house, it has been very difficult. So I have put the blog and quilts on hold. I have now gotten enough ASL in my brain that I have just finished one quilt and started another one, Gator has changed our computers running system so many times.... so many. So I still have to try to figure out how to get pics on here.

So here's the update, Kimble wants to home school really bad, so we are trying to figure it out. He starts Soccer in a couple weeks, I am the coach of his team. Maggie is the sauce as she is constantly telling me, her hair is growing, and she and Kimble and Ira play so well together it is scary in a wonderful way. Ira is learning sign, he says: MOM, DAD, MORE, WANT, GIVE ME THAT, TAKE ME THERE, and he tries to sign I LOVE YOU. OH and Bye and Hello, He signs bye and hello every time he come in or out of a room, just to let us know.

Gator and I are trying to figure out if we should stay in our ward or go to the Deaf ward or split up our time between the two, staying members of this one and visiting that one, or what, we don't know. We have really been so frustrated by this issue and we keep having bad times with our callings and dealing with people. I personally have never had such a hard time getting up the desire to go to church, I am afraid. But I know God lives, can't deny it, so I go, and I struggle with that. But I know I wouldn't be doing so well with sign and mothering if I didn't do the things I do everyday to show my devotion to to all that is the Gospel. So hopefully I will figure out what I am supposed to be learning from all of this, and soon.

Pics coming soon...

bihemispheric polymicrogyria

Well for those of you who dont know what is going on with Ira. His diagnonsis is bihemispheric ploymicrogyria, he also has a very small corpus collosum. we still dont know why he cant hear, we will meet with more docs to figure that out. You can google polymicrogyria for more info because I am done talking about it write now. The most important thing for me to say is that Ira is wonderful and smart and a blessing. We will do everything we can possibly do for him. We love him, we love him, we love hime. That is all that matters. The neurologist has alot of hope for him because he is already so advanced. He is hitting alot of regular milestones for a baby his age. So we will just have to wait and see what our little sweetie boy does, what ever it is, It will be great.

Quilt's I made for buddies, babies. The pink is for baby Katelynn and the other is for Bobbie's baby boy and I new it 5 seconds ago and now I can't remember. But I will remember and when I do I will fix this. I love Quilts. The back of the bottom one is so cool, I will have to take a picture of it and show you all if there is interest in actually seeing it.

For those of you who don't know, Dana is my buddy and she rules and so do her kids, Whitney and Gavin. We babysat Whitty a little bit ago and she got ready for bed with us. As soon as her jams were on, she ran to Mags bed and got happily under the covers. Mag soon joined her followed by Kimba. They just sat there and laughed at each other for like 5 minutes. They are all so good together and they really love each other, and Dane and I love them and it is just a lovely thing. So I had to put these pics up because of all the love. The bottom one is Gavin and Ira and Dana's arm. They were being cute and as soon as we got the camera out they stopped but oh well they are still cool.
